Seriously it's just insane. Green-Ellis (you know that guy who hasn't fumbled once in his 329 carries) has fumbled twice in this game I'm currently playing. They weren't even big hits. And yes I know how to cover the ball up. Anyone have some recommended settings to make the game competitive/fair? I rented the game to test it out...so far it isn't justifying a purchase. Trying to give it a chance though cause I need some football.
Madden has the worst carrying ratings ever...Like AP will fumble idk how many times he did this year like 8-10 whatever...and then they will take his carrying down to I think 81. That's just dumb. Carrying shouldn't even be a stat for HB's. It should exist solely for WRs, defense and maybe QBs.|||i dont have any problems with fumbles and i play with the cover boy peyton hillis who ea gave the role(fumble prone)
i've played atleast 20 or more games since i got the early release and hillis has yet to fumble in a game yet i've had my wr's cough up ball but not hillis so thats like 400 so carries and no fumbles.|||

Maybe if you stop trying to stiff arm or get fancy in traffic the problem will decrease, the rb button has been in the game for years (RB cover up ball button)|||

Yeah I'll agree. Even so though, Green-Ellis has a 98 carry on here. It's like everyone on here has butterfingers for no reason at all and can't carry out a simple up the gut run.
And usually after I fumble the CPU coughs it up during the same play or in the next series. Just seems way over the top.|||

I never stiff arm on short run plays. Just cover up the ball and take it up the middle trying for the first. Maybe if you'd stop making assumptions and read in my OP when I said I know how to cover up the ball.|||I don't really like Madden but they got this one right. Cover the ball up to lessen the chances of fumbling. Previous years of Madden has spoiled you guys thinking that you don't risk anything when you try moves to break tackles. Tell me what secures the ball better in real life, a juke, a spin, or two forearms on the ball?|||

Yeah bro cause we know how good you are judging by the thread where you brag about how amazing you are.
Covered up the ball. And what about the CPU? Their 4 fumbles a game is so realistic. I asked for help making the game more realistic, plain and simple. No one cares about how good you think you are, or how cool you think you look cause you give your short snappy answers like you are a big shot on the Madden forums! Maybe try and contribute instead of acting like a little fanboy.
