Excessive grieving

I was winning the game 16 to 10 today and a message came up saying your opponent has been kicked for excessive grieving? What is that? |||It looks like EA put some checks in the game to see if anyone is doing any stupid stuff that makes online horrible.

I don't know what they are for sure, but things like running the same play over and over and over, or constantly going offsides...

edit - was your opponent doing anything silly before being kicked?|||

Thats awsome thats what it is

was he just running one cheese play the whole game? or maybe to many offsides or delay of game|||

No.

It's when your opponents internet connection is causing an inconvenience (from the games normal operation) . . . aka "Lag Switching". I had an opponent try to lag switch my field goal then continue it through the kick off then the aforementioned message popped up. He was kicked and I had a good laugh as he called ME a "hacker nerd" when he lagged himself out of the game lol.|||

It's not just that.

Someone in another thread yesterday said they got that message and his opponent was constantly going offside.|||You are both right. It's whenever someone does something excessive; lagging, penalties, running the same play, going for it on every 4th down(which is how one of my opponents was kicked). It's whatever they deem as making the online experience poor. I'm sure there are a few more, but those are the ones I know of.|||I am surprised more hasn't been said about this.

This is absolutely fantastic for online play. Probably the best news for online play in years.|||If this is true this great....great........great if it true|||Onside kicks after scoring within the first 2 minutes should be added to the excessive grieving. Had a guy go for it on 4th down, score then onside kick. I just shut the console off, not gonna deal with people like that.|||

yes they should add onside kicks on this list somehow.... ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!|||I didn't notice anything way out of the ordinary I had less lag than usual. He must have been doing the same plays over and over. Of course he was using the Vikings. I have to admit I was using the Saints but I live in New Orleans, plus I was using Gameflow and audibling out of it. I never used the same play 3 times even with hotrouting. One guy was beating me 17 to 0 and quit the game. That must have been a network problem with all the players today. He could have kicked my a**.
