Problem With Accelerated Clock - Franchise Mode

I turn off the accelerated clock in the main, My Settings menu then go to Franchise Mode. When I go to play a game, for some reason, the accelerated clock feature is still on ... it's on during a franchise game while being "off" in My Settings, which to my knowledge, is the only way to turn it off. HELP!!!!|||It says on the setting...does not include franchise mode when you turn it off. I think it has to be left on for franchise mode. I've just hoped the length of my games.|||I did see that. My reading of it was that the whole accelerated clock feature doesn't apply in Franchise Mode.|||

If you can't turn off the accelerated clock in franchise mode, what length of quarters makes for the most realistic games?|||the most realistic ive noticed so far is 10 minutes. i used to love to play with 15 minute quarters but i wont be able to this year. one of the best features. sadly its gone in franchise|||also means if you cant turn it off you cant start a game and do subs in nickel etc, quit save and reload?|||Is there really no way to turn off the accelerated clock in franchise mode? That's just ridiculous. And turning off the play clock doesn't work.|||To the Developers of Madden:

Please add back the option to TURN OFF ACCELERATED CLOCK. I mean you really * off your user base when you take settings away that people ave come to like. This one in particular. I mean you let me turn it off in the regular game, what is the difference? Make a patch or something. If I could I would return this stupid game because all the enhancements your team prob worked really hard to add do not mean a thing when you start taking other settings away.

This can serve as a petition. Please "Sign" this post if you feel EA should let you Turn Off the Accelerated Clock in Madden 12:

Signed - Me|||I haven't checked this out for myself, but if you can't turn it off in franchise (which does seem kinda stupid, to be frank) can you crank it down to some small number so the runoff is at least short?

I'm really puzzled as to why they'd take this out. I have a half-baked idea or two, but nothing that convinces me; I'd be interested to hear a mod or game changer explain. But I can also understand why they won't, given that their effort would be rewarded mostly by flaming character assassination from teenagers with more time than sense.|||I agree they need to put the option back in the game|||Glad to see there are others voicing their opinions on this. What a tremendous oversight ...|||I couldn't agree more that this is one of the dumbest things EA could have done. I realized this when I had my quarters set at my usual 6 minutes and never saw the ball at all in the first quarter. whoever at EA thought this was something needed was out of their mind!
