it could be from what i've heard was most big name company's already stopped producing games for ps2 and it should be because its not really worth $40 anymore they took online option away they havent touched any modes since 08 its basically just a roster update and thats it and from what i've read in few post is ea butchered the rosters alot of players missing so if u want rosters correct u are gonna have spend alot of hrs doing em yourself.

I don't know yet if gameplay was tuned, but what I do know is that if they had an uncomplicated table based method for player data, I could have converted the PS3 attributes to PS2 compatible attributes, and changed out the old data with the new in a couple or three hours. Aaron Rodgers has been a QB of the Future since at least 09, and still is such in 12.
It should have been the end about 2 years ago. That is what is holding madden back.
I don't think Madden PS2 ever held the next-generation platform back.|||

That sucks because I bought Madden 12 for PS2 today. I thought there will new features but at least I dont have to update rosters which I spend most of my time doing it for 10. Hopefully this is the last Madden game for PS2 so I dont have to buy new one|||

Oh well. Im going to go through all the roster anyways and update with week 1 rosters
So youre sure Madden 12 is last Madden game for PS2 right?|||well from what i've heard it would be but they also said same thing about 11 and they made a 12 as long as ea can make money off it who knows they may still keep making it.|||Lot's of low level players are missing and player attributes are off. Does Ryan Mallett have 98 throwing power on PS3? On PS2 his throwing power is 91. Game play is still smooth, of course the graphics are average. But it does still have owners mode and nice off-season functionality. I am running my Skins with Jake Locker. Can't go deep yet, his accuracy is jacked. Other then the roster, it seems the same as last year with the hot and cold player emotions, but nothing new. For me, sometimes, the old stuff works just fine.
