[:1]Is it just me, or do you think that All-Madden difficulty should be the most realistic, rather than insanely hard? Maybe I'm stating the obvious, I don't spend much time on these boards but I figured I'd give my opinion and get some feedback.
Some obvious examples on All-Madden, to name a few:
- LB's jumping out of nowhere to pick or swat a pass
- Human players break no tackles, especially compared to CPU
- The most accurate QB's throw some of the worst passes
- Human pass defense is often garbage
Is it just me that feels like this? I don't want a ridiculously hard game if it's not realistic at least. Mark Ingram shouldn't be getting dropped like a bad habit while someone like Ben Tate tears your D apart. All-Madden on PS2 was perfect, I don't know why next-gen called for All-Madden to make the CPU superhuman.
That being said, another thing I think should be changed is the broken tackles, as far as the human. I have no problem with the rush being more intense as long as my HB can break some tackles. Joique Bell, granted while playing a 2nd and 3rd team, was needing 2 and more guys to take him down at a time tonight. I feel that broken tackles are one of the most exciting parts of the game, and I don't see but maybe one out of a good human HB but maybe every other play, and that's being generous. What's fun about seeing a 70 OVR HB run through your pretty highly rated defense, and then you come on offense to get dropped on the first hit?
I'm also really not fond of the fact that the Super Bowl winning team from the previous year has to unfairly outmatch whoever they play, and I don't mean the player ratings, I'm talking about the tendencies and bad plays your D will make that wouldn't happen in a game with another team. Even last year, as I'm a die-hard Saints fan, didn't like it, because it really takes the fun out of playing against that team.
Oh, and one last thing I've been noticing is this sack "glitch". I must have gotten sacked ten times last game because the QB is either taking forever to throw the ball, and out of nowhere I'm getting pummeled into the ground. This was never a problem last year, and I don't know exactly how to explain what exactly is making it happen, whether it is a delay or what.
While Madden still has a very long way to go, I do like the improvements, minus the scouting in Franchise mode. I think this is a big improvement from M11 and I have no doubt some of these issues can be fixed with the tuner sets throughout the season.
